Registrations are now open for a free information forum hosted by the Breast Cancer Network of Australia, to be held in Launceston on Saturday, February 23.
The event aims to provide support and tips for people living with a breast cancer diagnosis and offer strategies with a focus on health and exercise.
The free event will be the first of its kinds held in Launceston in eight years and will also feature Australian Olympian Raelene Boyle.
BCNA’s Launceston community liaison Mandy Forteath, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, said the event promised to be empowering.
“Support is instrumental to recovery,” she said.
“No one should ever feel like they are alone in their treatment.
“So bringing people together at an event like this is incredibly important.
“For people with breast cancer, their friends, family and their carers.”
