“We don’t have any other expo like it in Tasmania,” co-ordinator John Vinson said.
“It encompasses all things outdoors: boats, caravans, golf, fishing, bikes, motorbikes … my whole idea was to get all of the exhibitors from the whole of the state, and with the huge cross-section that we’ve got here, there’s something that will appeal to everybody.”
Including food vans there will be over 70 exhibitors in total, hawking everything from fire pots and metal detectors to spas and barbecues.
There will also be children’s activities, such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service flight simulator, reptile awareness with live snakes, and a tram.
For adults, Youngtown Rotary will be running a a hole-in-one competition, and a fly-fishing casting competition.
Admission costs $10, children under 15 free.
