The Hoodoo Gurus, Kate Ceberano, Jon Stevens, Jeff Lang and Ross Wilson will all be ready to rock out across the Friday, Saturday and Sunday at City Park.
Over on the festival main stage the diverse array of interstate artists will be looking to make a lasting impact on the crowd.
For Victorian musician Jeff Lang the trip to Festivale will be his first Tasmanian show since performing at Queenstown's Unconformity festival last year.
"I always enjoy coming down to Tasmania,” said Lang on the phone as he prepared to head out on the road.
“It will be great getting back over.”
While Lang may not have the same pulling power as the other headline acts on the line up, he's certain that his unique blend of influences will cater to the Friday night crowd.
"It's disturbed folk music," said Lang.
"There's folk elements, and a bluesy element to it and some world music elements that go into it."
Having toured the state countless times over his almost three decade long career, Lang is no stranger to the wonderful foods that the state has on offer, that will be showcased at Festivale.
"I remember playing shows in Bicheno while on tour and getting up early to make it out to a little fresh seafood shack and have a having a breakfast curried scallop pie," said Lang.

“It'll be great to be among all the fresh local foods that are on offer there.”
Following on from Lang’s 6.30pm solo slot on the opening night will be the one and only Ross Wilson and his current band The Peaceniks kicking off from 7.45pm.
The Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock front man will be dishing up a huge set of tunes from his back catalog with the crowd sure to be swaying to numbers such as ‘Come Said the Boy’ and the iconic ‘Eagle Rock’.
There may be no time quite like ‘The Right Time’ but from 9.30pm Australian rock and roll royalty the Hoodoo Gurus will take to the main stage.
Lead singer Dave Faulkner and his band mates will deliver a non stop set of hits, with classic radio staples such as ‘What’s My Scene’, ‘Bittersweet’ and ‘My Girl’ sure to have punters up off their chairs and dancing around in City Park.
And with sets on both Saturday and Sunday, evergreen vocalist Kate Ceberano will be powering her way through a cross section of tunes.
But the festival also provides a vital performing opportunity for the next generation of musical stars.
The Raw Talent Competition will showcase undiscovered Tasmanian artists aged 16 – 30, and will also be a great opportunity to “see their story at the first stage,” according to general manager Mandy Shepherd.
The Festivale spot is the final stage of a rigorous process for the performers, who firstly auditioned for their opportunity to play, and were then mentored to ensure they were ready and confident to play in front of the 25,000 Festivale patrons.
“We’ve had some really great success stories with unearthing talent that haven’t been on the radar, and then they get picked up by other people,” Ms Shepherd said.
“One example of that is Medhanit Barratt, who has gone on to do Mofo among other things. She’s getting gigs all the time, and its after being put on the stage so people can see her.”
The winners of the Raw Talent Competition in 2018 will also open the lineup on the KPMG Stage on Friday, with first runner up Ben’s Booty Angst on stage at 4pm, and Fiontan Cassidy at 4.30pm.
There will plenty for those interested in other art forms at Festivale as well.
Roving performers will be popping up all over the place around City Park throughout the three days, with contortionists,a juggler, costumed performers, and “one of Australia’s leading bubble manipulators.”
Fresh Comedy is bringing a line-up of national stars to the event, including Dave O’Neil, Claire Hooper, and Randy – the puppet partner-in-crime of Sammy J.
“We're very excited to be a part of the Festivale again,” Fresh Comedy organiser Stewart Bell said.
“Last year was a lot of fun with big, enthusiastic audiences. This year’s line-up is a perfect fit for the event and we can't wait.
“It's essentially a comedy gala with the beautiful City park as our back drop – plus it's the only time of year that you can get away with having a wine in the park.”
Tasmanian comedians are Gavin Baskerville, Kerri Gay, Ned Townsend, Catherine McClintock, Emergency Poncho, and Brodi Lucas.
