The super sedan grand national on the Australia Day long weekend will bring a multitude of fans to the south of the state for two massive nights of racing at Hobart Speedway.

A huge field of 32 entrants will do battle over 15 heats, a pole shuffle and a 50-lap final on Saturday and Sunday night.
Australian champion Callum Harper is obviously the man to beat after a decisive victory at the grand prix, however, he will face stiff opposition from last year’s grand national winner Matt Pascoe and a host of others.
Sean Black led the most number of laps at the grand prix and said he only needs to lead the last one to be happy in this event.
Former Australian champion Darren Kane loves to race on his old home track and still has plenty of local support even though he now resides in Queensland.
Sam Roza rounds out the Queensland quartet.
Ryan Alexander wants to celebrate his birthday with nothing short of a win, as does fellow South Australian champion Dave Gartner.
Kym Jury rounds out the contingent and is gaining a strong local fan base.
Darren Anning, Andre White and Darryl Moon, all from New South Wales, have all been fast in recent weeks and could well feature in the results along with Victorians Mick Nicola, Peter Nicola and Lucas Roberts who are all known to carry good car speed through the corners.
West Australian-based racer Kemble Aylett would dearly love to win the race that his father Peter Aylett won multiple times. Peter’s grandson Lee Aylett has also made the long journey and the young racer is very fast.
The Tasmanian contingent features 17 cars including, Adam Beechey and Corey Smith who have both been analysing the set-up in a bid to find that elusive perfect setting that will increase their already rapid car speed.
David Nicholls is driving superbly and will certainly be a factor. Local drivers that will also be a factor on their home track include Leon Cleary, Steve Latham and Laura Davidson.
A full support program includes kart racing from 3:30pm.
Junior sedans have 35 entries split across the two classes.
The Tassie sixes contest their state championship and will provide close fast-paced racing from the 19-car field.
Drivers with serious chances of winning include Peter Johnston, his daughter Clare Johnston, Mark Bryant and Paul Howard who have all won final races this season.
Street stocks have 24 entrants and will be spectacular.
Wingless and formula 500s also contest the Sunday night program.
Bombers and speedcars round out the massive program in an a meeting not to be missed with main track action commencing at 6pm.
