Banjo’s Longford franchisee Damien Benson collected the leftover stock from Wednesday’s trading and personally delivered it to Miena.
He had been liaising with the hotel to ensure the food was needed and would be put to use.
All up, about $1200 worth of food was delivered to firefighters from the Banjo’s store, building on a further $1400 worth that was given to Longford firefighters on Tuesday.
Mr Benson said it was the least they could do to thank the firefighters.
“Longford is a small community and we’re a part of that community,” he said.
“The Great Lake Hotel will distribute the food as needed.”
The bakery would provide more leftover stock for Longford firefighters later this week.
Fire crews at the Central Plateau fires have regularly been active until 10pm with fire activity occurring late into the evening.
