Searching for their second 50-over win after a T20 campaign which yielded two victories, the Tigers batted first and lost both openers for ducks inside seven balls.
First drop Amy Smith showed some fight in facing 41 balls for 12, but was the only Tiger to make double figures despite Meg Radford hitting consecutive fours – the sole boundaries of the innings – in the 21st over.
Radford’s cameo marked the Tigers’ final resistance as Courtney Sippel ended the innings for 58 less than two overs later.
Defending their smallest total of the tournament to date, skipper Sophie Parkin (1-11 off three) made the Tigers’ first breakthrough after an opening stand of 33, trapping Charli Knott LBW.
But a Bonnie Davies run-out was the only other joy for the Tigers as Queensland passed the total 12 overs in to secure two bonus points.
Davies leads the state’s wicket and run tally with one game to play, another 50-over clash at 10am Thursday.
