Trevallyn will make several changes for its trip to Longford, with big-hitting batsman David Patten promoted after scoring 216 on C-grade debut and a 50 in B-grade last round.
“He hits the ball quite hard so it’ll be interesting to see how he goes, and we’ve also got Jay Willis coming in who’s as consistent as anyone in the league,” Trevallyn skipper James Whiteley said.
“The table is very close, so this weekend is effectively an eight-point game.”
Josh Adams’ unbeaten Country Tigers could recall a big-hitter of their own, with Shannon Rumbel nearing a return from injury.
“We struggled a bit with the bat last week, we’ve been struggling to build partnerships but we’re hoping to rectify that,” Adams said.
ROUND NINE RECAP: Trevallyn home after brave last stand
HADSPEN is out to make amends for what seems the upset of the season to date.
Legana stole a two-run away win in round three after adding 68 runs for the last two wickets and dismissing star opener Thanuka Dabare, who scored his fourth ton of the season last round, inside the first over.
“He’s been brilliant so far this season,” Chieftains boss Liam Reynolds said.
“But we can’t be too complacent because he’s not going to go out and score 100 every week.”
Durhams duo Matthew Kerrison and Dylan Sharman will cover for Mike Dunn and coach Geoff Stick.
“Hadspen’s the only team we’ve beaten this year and we’ll be looking to do that again at home,” Stick said.
ACL will call on Stephen Daniels to replace Matthew Oats for its trip to Perth.
Coach John Kedey said the Bluebacks’ focus had shifted to avoiding relegation after last week’s loss.
Elsewhere, BEAUTY POINT will host 3-5 Cressy.
