After a rest day on Monday, the Esk Valley Orienteering Club Summer Cup continued to make its way down south, with the fourth stage being held at the Cataract Gorge.
Esk Valley’s Jack Wickham smashed the long course, coming first with a time of 13 minutes and eight seconds.
He was three minutes ahead of visiting Russian coach Ksenia Torganova [16:50], who did not complete the course, and four minutes ahead of second place Carlin White with 17:36 respectively.
The battle for third was fierce, with seconds between Paul Pacque [18:41], Sussan Best [18:30] and Euan Best who secured it with a time of 18:22.
Lynda Coffey came first in the short course, completing it in 19:58.
Just over a minute later, the duo of Evan and Imogen Williams came in at second, clocking in at 20:50.
They edged out third-place Andrew Williams, who was a mere two seconds behind them.
Competitions for the EVOC Cup will continue Wednesday at Scotch Oakburn College, followed by Brooks High School on Thursday.
