Police responded to reports of a gunshot in Pinkard Street about 7.30pm.
A 26-year-old Nunamara man had received a gunshot wound to his thigh.
The man’s injuries were not considered life threatening, police say.
Investigations into the matter are continuing, with police following a specific line of inquiry.
