The list was based on customer reviews on properties across the country.

Other locations included Hobart, Bendigo, Hervey Bay, Halls Gap, Ballarat, Townsville, Margaret River, Warrnambool, and Canberra.

Booking.com vice president Olivier Gremillon said the list celebrated accommodation providers who created special travel experiences for customers.

“No matter the type, size or location of the property, what we see from our customers is that they value a human connection when they travel, whether it’s some extra attention to detail or a truly individualized approach to service,” he said.

Launceston’s top 10 welcoming providers were Balmoral on York, Clarion Hotel City Park Grand, Areca, Mantra Charles, Art Hotel on York, Country Club Villas, Waratah on York, Peppers Seaport Hotel, Country Club, and Quality Hotel Colonial.
