Road spikes were used to stop a wanted man who evaded police on the East Tamar Highway on Thursday.

About 12.25pm, police laid spikes on the highway at Dislton to stop a 20-year-old man driving a blue Subaru Liberty wagon.
After going over the spikes, the man drove onto the incorrect side of the highway for about two kilometres before stopping at the cloverleaf underpass at George Town Road.
The man ran from police, but officers flooded the area and the driver was located a short time later.
Police said the man is assisting them with their inquiries.
The man had evaded police earlier in the day and was wanted for a number of matters.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are calling on community members who may have dash cam footage of the incident or who witnessed the evade to call 131 444.
