Her show, Living with Sybil, is on tonight, Thursday, December 3, at 6.30pm, at the Voodoo Bar. It’s a show that explores the concept of “normal” – or lack thereof.
“I think being normal is absolutely crazy,” she said.
“It’s normal to inject yourself with toxins at any sign of ageing. It’s normal to send somebody you like nude pictures, and it used to be flowers and chocolates.
“I don’t understand the concept of normal, but I do agree that we do need to find our tribe.”
This is the first Fringe at the Edge of the World festival, which aims to “provide locals with an opportunity to test a festival show on home soil, and give interstate performers a chance to experience the superb Tasmanian arts scene first hand.”
