Police have identified the man as being a 30-year-old Claremont resident.
Anyone who may have seen the man walking along the Brooker Highway or the Midland Highway early Tuesday morning is urged to call police on 131 444.

Police are still searching for the driver of the vehicle, which left the scene.

A man has died after being hit by a vehicle believed to be a truck on the Midland Highway at Brighton in the state’s South on Tuesday morning.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 3.20am, on the Midland Highway northbound just before the Briggs Road overpass.
The man, believed to be aged between 20 and 30, sustained significant injuries.
Police are seeking to identify him.
He is described as having blue eyes, short brown hair, wearing blue and grey Nike shoes, dark blue track pants with blue and white striping, and a black Collingwood windcheater.
Police are also searching for the driver of the vehicle, which left the scene.

All lanes of the Midland Highway are now re-opened.
