For the Lebrina-based vineyard, it’s invaluable “brand visibility.”

About half a million people attend the food festival every year, which had a more spacious redesign for this year’s iteration. 

“There are a lot of visitors coming to the space this time of year with the Sydney to Hobart, so it’s a good opportunity to present products in one spot,” he said. 

“But you still have the locals that come every year.” 

Clover Hill have held a stall for about eight years, and Mr White said the atmosphere had been improved by the less congested layout – and by the perfect weather. 

“There’s lots of space for people to sit - it’s much more comfortable than in previous years,” he said. 

Besides serving customers, Mr White said he’d been sampling ice cream, Bruny Island cheese, his competitors in the wine industry, and his perennial favourite: Little Rivers Brewing Co beers.
