Sunday looks to be mostly sunny for the Big Bash games at UTAS Stadium, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a maximum of 26 degrees and a very low chance of rain.
New Years Eve will up the heat factor, with a predicted maximum of 27 degrees and a small chance of rain.
North and Northwesterly winds up to 25 km/h will likely hang around during the day, but will become lighter during the evening allowing for a relatively calm night for fireworks to reign in the new year.
BOM predicts a clear, sunny day to start the new year in the Launceston area.
Winds up to 25km/h along with a maximum of 28 will make for a great day to be outside and enjoying the public holiday.
BOM does advise that those who go outside between the hours of 8:50am and 5:30pm on all three days wear sun protection.
