A development application has been lodged with the City of Launceston council on behalf of Encompass Health Holding.
About 50 car spaces would be created if the application is approved.
The car park would be over two levels, both of which would have a turning bay.
The car park would have an overall height of more than six metres and be constructed from pre-cast concrete panels.
It is also proposed to have a further 29 specialist doctors working from the site. This is in addition to the approved 14 GPs allowed to practice on the site.
The specialists would be located on the first floor of the site, which is already constructed. This area is directly below an approved child care centre that is not yet commenced construction.
“The proposed new car park will result in a net gain in parking supply for the health hub,” the application said.
The development application is open for comment until January 7.
