The committee would “hear directly” from community leaders on how best to carry out the government’s Inclusive Growth Plan, Mr Hodgman said.
“Tasmania has the fastest pace of economic growth in the country. While it presents challenges, it also represents enormous opportunity.
“Now is the time to ensure we are working in sync with the non-government sector on the opportunities, but also the challenges that our surging economy presents.”

Mr Hodgman said though no government had all the answers, he would increase government efforts to include ideas from the non-government sector to ensure “nobody is left behind”.
“We must continue to break down the barriers to the greatest enabler of social inclusion - education, training and the opportunity of a good job.”
“And we must find those ways to ensure all Tasmanians are feeling the benefits of a strong economy, and that no one is left behind.
“This will be a top priority of mine, and my Government, in 2019.”
