Premier League, division 1 and women’s division clubs can start plotting a pathway to success with the top-flight’s opening round to start on April 6.
However, George Town and Rocherlea will face off in a round 15 match on March 30, the same weekend as division 1. The new NTFA-controlled women’s division starts on Friday, March 29.
Both men’s divisions will play 16 games over 18 rounds, ending with the grand finals on September 7 and 14. Highlights include Anzac Day clashes between Scottsdale and George Town, and St Pats and Lilydale.
Bracknell will host Bridgenorth under lights at Prospect Park in round 3, while East Coast Swans will take on Evandale at Pyengana on June 1.
Rocherlea and George Town will clash in the NTFA’s Aboriginal match and the women’s roster will feature 10 games with the grand final scheduled for July 20.
On the June long weekend, NTFA representative sides will challenge the NWFL in seniors and under 18’s, however, NTFA executive Scott Rigby said their rivals declined an invitation to play a women’s match.
”With the inclusion of three new women’s teams and strong recruiting in premier division and division 1, we are looking towards having a highly competitive season,” Rigby said.
“The NTFA will also be adopting all the new AFL rules.”
