Though the forecast is for a cloudy, rainy day, event director Bede Clifton urged punters to turn off their irrigation systems, chuck on boots and a poncho, and get out to Josef Chromy Wines for a day of great music.
Event promoter Matt Gower said all the best festivals have a bit of rain.
The festival is the first major event put on by Tasmanian record label and publishing house Jam Mountain.
“Tasmania misses out a lot on decent acts coming here, and our mission is to bring big names to Tassie – both to outdoor festivals and mixed venues,” Mr Gower said.
“We’re going to keep bringing top acts to the state.”
Mr Clifton said a major highlight would be the touches of Tasmania.
The crew setting up the event was all Tasmanian, which he said was unusual for a big festival.
He said the “massive” bar was stocked with Josef Chromy wine and Boag’s beer, and the food was all provided by food vans from the region.
The massive country lineup also had Tasmanian connection.
Country-rock singer-songwriter Casey Barnes was originally from Tasmania before moving to Queensland, and Mr Clifton said beloved boys The Wolfe Brothers would also make an appearance onstage.
Also playing will be country legend Lee Kernaghan, alongside acts The McClymonts, Catherine Britt, Matt Cornell, Aleyce Simmonds, and Montgomery Church.
Umbrellas and shade structures are not permitted in the venue, so punters are urged to dress to conditions.
Other items banned from the venue include alcohol, glass, open bottles, selfie sticks, and professional cameras.
Fold-up camp chairs and picnic rugs can be brought into the venue, alongside soft-pack eskies and sealed plastic water bottles.
Bus transfers to and from the festival are available through TryBooking. Busses will run from Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, and Hobart.
