The dance production will be performed by girls aged between two and 19 years old from Dance Academy 34.
The academy’s principal Madeline Jenkins said the girls were very excited to be performing The Legend of Mowgli.
“We picked The Jungle Book because there has just been a remake of it two years ago and there’s just been another done that’s come out on Netflix last week so it was a nice current story,” Ms Jenkins said.
“It’s got lots of awesome colourful animals and the kids tend to love animal stories.”
There will be two performances during the day, one at 1pm and another at 7pm.
Ms Jenkins said for many of the academy dancers this will be their last performance with the company, as well as the first for some of its younger members.
Tickets for the production can be purchased from the Theatre North website or at the box office.
