The unique European-style Christmas market features more than 60 stalls with wares ranging from clothing and jewellery to art, soaps and candles, food, and flowers.
The market raises funds to support StGiles, a disability support service for children.
Barnyard Buddha Boy stall owner Darren West said he’d been involved with Niche since the first year.
“I’ve done nearly all of the Niche events, and have started doing the North-West events as well,” he said.
“I reckon over that time I’ve raised $7000 at least. It’s a great event, always lots of people and a good time to connect with all the locals.”
Market manager Victoria Bayes said the turnout on day one had been great, with more expected to come through the doors on Saturday.
“We had people turning up even before we were ready,” she said.
“People were keen. We’re expecting many people to come.”
Ms Bayes said the biggest drawcard to the market was the quality.
“I think people know when they come here that they’re going to get quality, and they’re going to get a great range of goodies to buy.”
The market began on Friday from 2pm to 7pm. On Friday night, a beard competition took place alongside live music and a champagne bar.
The market will continue on Saturday, December 8, with Albert Hall’s doors opening from 8am to 3pm.
