Now in its 13th year, the event will feature carols performed by the Tamar Valley Voices as well as fruit mince pies and Christmas cake prepared by some of the house’s volunteers.
Franklin House chairwoman Julie Dineen said the event served as the perfect opportunity for people to enjoy the historic homestead’s gardens, with all proceeds going towards the house’s upkeep.
“It has become a real tradition for us here at the house and it works particularly well for the older people who are perhaps not quite up to attending larger carols events at night time,” she said.
“They can sit in the garden, enjoy some lovely music and some delicious food.”
If raining, the event will be moved to the St James Anglican Church across the road.
The event will be held from 2pm to 4pm.
Tickets are $10 and bookings are essential – call 6344 7824.
