The annual Longford Community Christmas Party will be held again this Friday at the Village Green, featuring a barbeque and entertainment.
The event is a collaboration between Northern Midlands Council and the Longford Rotary Club.
“They supply the food, and we cook it,” said Rotarian and Longford Local District Committee chairperson Neil Tubb.

Santa himself will even drop by to collect his mail, which has been accruing in a special mailbox at the Village Green over the past three weeks.
“Obviously everybody who puts in a letter has to be replied to,” said Mr Tubb.
“Responses will start coming back around Monday, so it’s a busy period for Santa.”
Festivities will begin at 5pm on Friday, December 7.
