Mark Fraser from Victoria said he enjoyed taking his HT Monaro out for a drive on the track.
“It was awesome going around there [the track], it was a good day,” he said.
“They’re built to be driven, there are some people that have their trophy queens that won’t be taken out there but I built mine to drive.”
It was not all burnout paradise at Symmons; one Monaro crashed at lunchtime.
“She went over about four or five times,” Mr Fraser said.
No one was seriously injured from the incident; the Monaro had to be written off.
Mr Fraser said the nationals have had more than enough crashes this week, including the incident on the Frankford Highway on Thursday.
