It’s the 50th year since the original Holden Monaro was released, making this year especially exciting for those attending.
More than 200 Monaros from Tasmania and interstate will show and shine their vehicles at Windsor Park on Saturday.
Event coordinator Jesse Denholm said the support in the Monaro community is really good.
“The sort of comradery between people is pretty evident when somebody breaks down and you’ve got people driving a couple of hundred kilometres to help them out,” Mr Denholm said.
Mr Denholm, who owns two Monaros himself, was also excited to see what the event would bring to local businesses.
“To see restaurants and bars and clubs absolutely overflowing with people from interstate, it’s pretty exciting to see.”
A show and shine function will be held on Saturday from 10am-3pm at Windsor Park, as well as a display along George Street from 6pm-9pm later that day.
