Northern Tasmanian duo Tarryn Thomas and Chayce Jones are off to North Melbourne and Adelaide respectively after being selected within the first 10 picks.
Adelaide had its bid for North Launceston talent and Next Generation Academy member Thomas matched by North Melbourne at pick eight, and then selected Launceston midfielder Jones as its next pick.
Thomas had long been touted as a top-10 pick, while Jones was expected to be picked up midway through the first round.
