Set up by friends Amanda Blyth and Claire Castle, Mountain Biking Flinders Island guides riders along the bike trails.
The duo planned three different mountain biking tours “in some very extraordinary places”, Ms Blyth said, “in celebration of everything that the island is and the growing popularity of mountain biking”.
Their fledgling business reflects their love for their island, of which their families have lived for several generations, as well as their children, the future of the island, and their inclination towards adventure.
“A lot can be gained from riding into the sea breeze and feeling it on your skin, or riding under tall timbers of native gums, towards an ocean high on its own strength,” Ms Blyth said.
All tours include museum and park fees, morning tea, lunch, drink bottle and pick up and drop off.
