State school principals were given a Friday afternoon deadline to inform the Education Department if they had the capacity to cater for student safety and wellbeing but this was extended to Monday afternoon.
The decision has been made public a full week ahead of the planned stop-work meetings, to give parents and carers adequate time to plan.
It is the second time the industrial action has disrupted the school day in about a month.
