That idea is now a reality for Cressy students, thanks to the work of a group within their local community.
Rotarian Neil Tubb, with the financial support of Longford Rotary Club, pursued the idea with the assistance of the Longford Mens Shed and the support of Cressy District High School community.
Vice principal Daisy Stephens said it was a great way to instill the social and emotional skills young children need to interact with others.

Mr Tubb said that he was keen to see the concept introduced into other schools throughout Tasmania so that more students will be able to benefit from the idea, adding that the students had been very enthusiastic about the project.
“This could be a beginning of helping more of our younger students to eliminate loneliness in our school environments,” he said.
