Effervescence heads North
After commencing in Hobart on November 11, Effervescence Festival is moving up the state in the form of socials and dinners celebrating the region’s fine food and wine. Events include a degustation dinner at Stillwater, a wood-fired feast at Timbre Kitchen, meet the maker and sample wines at Pipers Brook, and a grand tasting of the state’s famous seafood at Josef Chromy Wines. Pets celebrate Christmas
On Saturday the Launceston RSPCA Animal Care Centre will offer the opportunity to have a photo taken with Santa, and your dog. Photos with Santa will be available between 10am and 2.45pm, with options available for $10 and $15. GARDEN PARTY
Franklin House
Kids entertainment will be a focus for Franklin House’s garden party this Sunday, November 18. There will be scarecrow building, face painting and croquet lessons for children. The garden will be free to enter, with entry to Franklin House a gold coin donation. Money raised will go towards the upkeep of the house. On from 11am until 3pm.

Support mental health

BLOOMING SUCCESS
Festival of Roses
Woolmers Estate will be transformed into a celebration of spring once again on November 18 for the annual Festival of Roses. There will be more than 5000 different varieties of roses in bloom at the 19th-century estate. Over 80 stalls will showcase Tasmanian produce and crafts from 9am to 4pm. There be children’s activities, including Thomas the Train, a jumping castle, and face painting.
CRAFTY DELIGHTS
Designer market
Crafty Tasmanian designers, artists and makers will be on display at Penny Royal on Sunday for the Designer Market. The market runs from 8.30am to 1.30pm. Adventures start at 9.30am. Food and drinks are available at the restaurant from 8.30am.
COUNTRY FAIR
Family activities delight
The inaugural Nunamara Country Fair will be held on Sunday, November 18. Gates will open at 8am, with festivities starting at 9am. Held at the Nunamara Memorial Hall, there will be activities for the whole family including a petting zoo, local musicians, a jumping castle and face painting. Food and beverages will be available. Entry is by a gold coin donation.
