The Eagles welcomed back experience trio John LeFevre, Sagar Chhetri and James Storay last weekend but still fell six overs short of holding out Launceston.
Frontline paceman Blake Cassidy missed the match getting his boat licence but will be back to steer the ship against a Mountaineers batting line-up boasting Alex King and Sheldon Parker.
“We’re pretty happy with how we’re shaping up at the moment,” LeFevre said.
“We’ve got a pretty good team on paper, our challenge now is to perform to how we should be. We feel we’ve got a bit of improvement in our game day performance.”
Ben Humphrey will captain LAUNCESTON for the first time as Tom Bennett returns to cover unavailable skipper Cam Lynch.
Burnie has had the wood over the Lions in recent years, but a run of four straight wins and a diverse squad of bowlers which already features 11 individual wicket-takers has coach Alistair Taylor confident of turning the tables.
“It’s handy to have so many options,” Taylor said.
“Ideally you want to use five or six bowlers but sometimes that doesn’t happen.
“There’s probably a few guys that can bowl that haven’t bowled too much this year, Cam Lynch is one who is a good off spinner and I don’t think he’s bowled a ball this year.”
James Lee will keep his spot at number three after a 50 in SOUTH LAUNCESTON’s win over Westbury.
Skipper Tom Waller will also recall Jackson Young for the home clash with Devonport after the key fast bowler missed the first few rounds with a foot injury.
“We haven’t had to bowl 50 overs yet… we probably felt at this stage we might be a bowler short so bringing Jackson in hopefully helps fill that void,” Waller said.
“Josh Freestone took five wickets last week, (Graham) Donaldson’s taken seven and (Ben) Jackson took three last week so it gives us a four-pronged pace attack - hopefully they can work in tandem and take the majority of our wickets.”

WESTBURY will face the cup’s sole unbeaten side Ulverstone without the luxury of its star pace twins Jonathan Chapman and Nick Spencer.
Richard Howe has recalled Joel Lloyd and brought in Liam Ryan for his first A-grade game this season as the Shamrocks look to return to form after a 90-run loss.
“It’s a good chance for us to bounce back after we disappointed with the bat last week,” Howe said.
“They’ve got some pretty good players - especially in their top six - and a pretty solid bowling attack so it’ll be another good challenge for us and probably a game we need to win to consolidate our spot there at the top.”
A bye and a washout has kept RIVERSIDE on the sidelines for two rounds, but has done nothing to unsettle its rock-solid line-up.
Captain Tom Garwood has used just 12 players in 50-over cricket so far this season but is not without options waiting in the wings.
“Jack Colgrave been performing in second grade and Ben Hinds took five last week in the twos,” Garwood said.
“(Alex Saunders plays) his third game this week and he’s putting in some really good performances so that’s putting pressure on our bowlers and batters as well.”
The Blues will meet winless Wynyard at home.
