The showcase will bring together performers of all ages and abilities in collaboration with Melissa Wimmer’s School of Theatrical Dance, and support from Arts Tasmania.
Through an artist-in-residency program, students from Perth School will also be involved alongside groups from Studio Space.

“The idea of the showcase is to be inclusive, not just disability specific,” Mr Lane said.
The theme, “this is me”, is drawn from The Greatest Showman he added.
“It doesn’t matter who you are, it’s about claiming your own identity.”
One of the performances on the night revolves around the grand final of a fictional cooking show, “Pubmasters”, in which participants are all chefs from Tasmanian pubs.
In the production, chefs Caleb, Isaac, (pictured above right) and Nick all present their carefully crafted pub fare like pizza and fish and chips to celebrity chefs Pierre Le Pieu – played by George Van Dijk – and Connor Reilly – who the segment is built around.
“He’s the Matt Preston of the show, he gets the deciding vote,” Mr Lane said.
Support workers also get involved in the productions said Mr Lane, “I think they enjoy it as much as the participants”.
Studio Space is a Launceston-based theatre company established in 2017 Mr Lane to create and develop inclusive arts programs for people living in the North of Tasmania.
The organisation seeks to present people of all abilities the opportunity to access training across everything from theatre and dance to podcasting and photography – with the help of trained artists.
