Police and volunteers had been conducting a big air and ground search for Mr Kiddle since he was reported missing last Friday November 9.
Police said his body was found in bushland approximately 2.5km from Lumeah Avenue, where his vehicle was found.
“It appears Mr Kiddle may have been deceased for some days,” a police spokesman said.
“A team of foot searchers located his body at about 1.30pm today.
”This has been a very traumatic few days for his family, with a very sad ending today.
“Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
The police spokesman said it was believed that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Kiddle’s death.
“We would like to thank all those involved in the search for Mr Kiddle, especially those volunteers, family and friends,” the spokesman said.
A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
Mr Kiddle was widely known and respected in golfing and yachting circles in Hobart.
