As well as the usual garden party affairs, Franklin House chairwoman Julie Dineen said she wanted the event to entertain all ages.
“We’re calling it Family Fun Day at Franklin House and trying to emphasise kids,” Mrs Dineen said.
The garden social will feature scarecrow building for kids. The best scarecrows will replace the dilapidated ones in need of retirement.
There will also be face painting and croquet lessons for children.
Representatives from Tullochs Auctions will be on hand to appraise attendee’s antiques.
“We’ll have here Launceston City Band playing, we’ll have barbecues and we’ll have some stalls,” Mrs Dineen said.
The garden will be free to enter and a gold coin donation to enter Franklin House.
Money raised at the event will go towards the upkeep of the house.
The event will run from 11am until 3pm.
