The Longford Garden Club’s Spring Flower Show will be held for the 50th year this weekend, with a burst of colour to be put on show for the community.
Open for both club members and the public the show will feature an exhibit of the best flowers from local gardens, a cut flower competition and a special floral display of gold and yellow to commemorate the club’s milestone.

The club is comprised of about 80 members according to the club’s publicity officer, Kath Tole.
“It’s amazing where people come from, there’s quite a few people that come from Launceston and surrounds,” she said.
The Spring Flower Show will be held at the Longford Town Hall November 17-18.
Doors will be open from 1.30pm to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday – entry is $2.
