The Knights recorded their third-straight Cricket North Twenty20 win by 35 runs after compiling 6-105 on the back of solid knocks from Caitlyn Webster (19), skipper Belinda Wegman (20), Amy Duggan (25) and Alice McLauchlan (21).
The hosts were in a little trouble after losing 3-4 to be 4-44 before Duggan and McLauchlan combined for a 46-run fifth-wicket stand.
Elyse Page (3-16) was the Blues’ best bowler, while Maddison Hill (2-12) and Melinda Wilson (1-9) were also successful in restricting the damage.
Riverside’s chase got off to a positive start with Ianthe Boden (19) the first to depart with her side on 29. Hill worked her way to an innings-high 23 but the side struggled for any momentum in finishing 5-71.
Duggan was the chief destroyer with 3-8 off four overs, while Zara Broomby (1-5) and Ava Curtis (1-14) picked off one apiece.
A Sara Wilkin five-wicket haul was not enough to see MOWBRAY past LAUNCESTON at NTCA No.1 Ground.
The Lions ended up 6-63 with Wilkin taking 5-9 off four overs and went on to win by 12 runs. Lynn Hendley hit 15 as captain Rhianne Hack top scored with 19 in eeking out the total.
The Eagles were unable to backup their splending bowling effort, being bowled out for 51 in 19.4 overs. Not one batter managed a double-figure score as Hack (3-13) and Stacey Norton-Smith (3-7) cleaned them up.
