Playing his first game in green this season, the Greater Northern Raiders vice-captain elected to bat first at Westbury and after losing three partners in seven overs, enjoyed a 63-run partnership with James Curran (38).
When the young all-rounder was eventually bowled by Will Donald (2-10 off four) Taylor went on the attack, adding 25 to his tally in the last two overs to finish 58 not out and see Launceston to 4-133.
Westbury sent Jonathan Chapman out as a pinch-hitter and it paid off as the paceman hit two sixes in a 24-ball 33.
But wickets fell almost as regularly as Launceston changed its attack, with Clayde White (2-17 off four) the pick of eight bowlers.
Dan Murfet finished 33 not out in 7-116 as Westbury fell to its second T20 defeat.

SOUTH LAUNCESTON recorded a second-straight T20 win, chasing down Riverside’s 57 inside 11 overs.
Tom Garwood and Peter New were the only Blues to reach double figures as Jeremy Jackson (3-7 off 3.1) and Nathan Carter (2-15) inspired a lower-order collapse.
Jono Marsden took the gloves off skipper Tom Waller and proved a revelation with three stumpings and a catch.
Garwood took two early wickets to have the Knights 2-20, but couldn’t stop Sean Harris hitting five fours and two sixes to seal victory and reach 40 for the second match running.
