The new flavours are made with ingredients from local producers.
“It’s really great because we produce so much great product down here in Tassie,” chief sales marketing officer at Tasfoods David Bennett said.
“It was great to work with other Tassie producers to create some exciting flavours to give things an exciting fresh new look.”
The new flavours are lemon myrtle, pepperberry and wattle seed from Diemens Spices, as well as leatherwood honey from Stephens Honey.
By the third day of the craft fair, the lemon myrtle and leatherwood ice creams had sold out.
Along with new ice cream flavours, Pyengana Dairy unveiled new varieties what they call indulgent flavoured milk.
One flavour is chocolate, made with real chocolate syrup with no stabilizers or thickeners from Anvers Chocolate of Latrobe.
The other new variety is brewed with coffee from roasters Ritual Coffee of Launceston.
“No added sugar gives this flavoured milk a subtle coffee taste with natural sweetness from Pyengana Dairy milk,” Mr Bennett said.
Pyengana Dairy have said that Tasmanians can purchased the flavoured milks at their local grocers.
