The new working artists and artisan studios on the main road in Exeter were established following a successful grant from the Tasmanian Community Fund.
Twenty-five artists will use rostered studio space in the hall from Wednesday to Saturday each week, until the end of April.
Members of the community will be able to see them at work on a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, jewellery, felting and various textile art forms.
The project has been nearly twelve months in the planning, with Justine Vaughan and supporters first approaching the West Tamar Arts Group at the beginning of the year. The official opening is on Saturday, November 10 at 2pm at the Exeter Show Hall. Visitors and special guests will have the opportunity to view work produced by the artists, while also enjoying afternoon tea.
