Tasmania is well-represented in the nominations for this years Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, the premiere awards in Australia for on-screen talent.

Rosehaven, the ABC comedy that sees a hapless real-estate agent return to his hometown in small-town Tasmania along with his quirky best friend, has been nominated for Best Comedy Program for season two and its star, Celia Pacquola has also received a nomination for Best Performance in a Television Comedy.
Tasmanian comedian Hannah Gadsby has received international acclaim for her ground-breaking Netflix special Nanette, and it’s been no different at home. The program has received nominations for Best Comedy Performance and Best Comedy.
Another Tasmanian film industry talent, producer Sue Clothier, has also received a nod for her work on the series Employable Me with a nomination for Best Documentary or Factual Program.
This year’s AACTA Awards will be held on Wednesday, 5 December 2018.
