The injury-cruelled 30-year-old, who is on holiday in Europe, joined small forward Lachie Tiziani in missing out on a contract for 2019.

Giants list manager Jason McCartney announced Mohr and Tiziani’s departures in a club statement on Friday morning. 

“We thank Lachie and Tim for their contribution to the Giants during their time with us,” McCartney said.

“Tim has been with us from the start and was an important player during our early years as he notched up 48 AFL games, which is no small feat.

“We wish them both well in their future endeavours.” 

A Launceston premiership player, Mohr spent four seasons with Casey Scorpions in the VFL before being picked up for the Giants’ inaugural season in 2012.

The keen golfer was was one of just two Giants to play every game in the 2013 season, where he averaged 14.3 touches and 4.7 marks to finish 10^th in the club’s best and fairest. 

But knee reconstructions in 2014 and 2015 began a run of injuries which helped keep Mohr to just five games in the past four years.

Mohr played two games in 2018.
