After the break Lowery continued on to win by nine and Westbury’s Les Watts whittled down a nine-shot deficit to hit the lead on end 23 before Ayton hit back with a four on the last, snatching the only rink win for Invermay.
Julian Frost jumped out to an eight-shot lead after eight ends before the Invermay rink found some form to lead by seven after 16.
Frost then won the last five ends to clinch the crucial second rink win for the shamrocks over Shane Boden.
