The Penguin women broke away in the first quarter and claimed 74-55 victory over the previously undefeated Devonport.
Megan Smith scored 15 points and Sharn Hayward added 12 points for the Lady Blues and Paige French scored 17 for the Warriors.
The victory for the Lady Blues moves their record to 3-1 to join the Warriors with a tie for first place on the ladder.
The Penguin men remained in contention for top spot with a 97-72 victory over Somerset.
The Blues shared the load with Joel Beveridge scoring 23 points, Joe Chilcott scoring 22 points, Cameron Brown scoring 17 points and Reyne Smith adding 16 points.
JP Davis was strong in the loss for the Heat with 36 points and Alaster Radford added 10 points.
