More than 25 food and beverage vendors from George Street and surrounds will be represented as part of the celebration, which caters to all ages.
Businesses such as Alberto’s, Sweetbrew, and Red Brick Road Cider will be setting up outdoor pop-up bars, while local restauranteurs will be providing special menu options and flavoursome street food.
There is a host of live entertainment booked in for the event, including music form The Embers, SUNDAZE, and Emily Sanzaro, as well as children’s activities by YMCA, a jumping castle, a balloon artist and a Barratt’s music workshops for kids.
Last year’s fiesta drew more than 6000 people to the city centre, with Cityprom chief executive Steve Henty expecting an even larger turnout for this year’s festivities.
“Events such as Fiesta on George really highlight the vibrant George Street Precinct through fantastic hospitality, and the many boutique retailers,” he said.
Fiesta on George will be held from 12-9pm on Saturday, October 20.
It will take place on George Street in the area from Paterson Street to York Street.
Entry is free.
