Tasmania Police recovered perfumes, purses, mobile phone cases and clothing worth more than $2700.
The 17-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in an out of hours court on Tuesday night.
Tasmania Police Constable Benjamin Pearce-Lieutier said shop stealing was a serious matter, which costs businesses considerable amounts of money every year.
“This arrest and the recovery of stolen property is a result of good police work by the new Launceston Police Shop Stealing Taskforce,” he said.
The taskforce recovered more than $4500 of stolen property in its first three weeks.

Businesses who may have unreported stealing matters, particularly in relation to perfumes and women’s wallets, are asked to contact Tasmania Police.
Police also recovered $4000 of allegedly stolen property in an unrelated matter at the weekend.
About 10 Launceston businesses were targeted in the alleged stealing spree.
A 22-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and two female youths, all from Hobart, were arrested in relation to the matter.
