To celebrate the milestone, Walker House invited families along for a morning of free activities.
“We opened the house up to families with children five and under and had YMCA come and do some activities with the children,” Walker House manager Jessica Cute said.
“We had a face painter, and some mindfulness activities for the adults.”

Held in conjunction with mental health week, Ms Cute said a particular focus was placed on parental mental health.
Following the morning, an afternoon tea was held with key stakeholders – a way of saying thank you for their years of support.
“It’s just a big celebration,” Ms Cute added.
Part of Child Health and Parenting Services, the centre offers short term intensive support for families facing difficulties and pressures with parenting across child development, sleep and settling, toilet training, and postnatal mental health.
