Guild coordinator Henry Bush said getting gaming enthusiasts to work out of a centralised space could create more industry opportunities in Launceston.
“It gives people more chance to network and collaborate than if they were doing all their work independently,” he said.
Mr Bush was joined by Game Tester chief executive David Dobson for a panel discussion about what it means to be part of the gaming industry and live in Launceston. He said he wanted to “dispel the myth” you had to move away from Launceston to work in gaming.
“I see it as industry that people here can get involved in,” he said.
