Demolition of the former bar area and space below the grandstand has been completed, with work now turning to the construction of the new function room, amenities area, and umpire facilities.
A new storage shed is also now complete, with grandstand seating and waterproofing close behind.
Acting Northern Midlands Council general manager Maree Bricknell was thrilled by the progress.
“It’s now got to the stage where there is a bit to see,” she said.

Council hopes the work, being carried out by council’s own staff, will be done in time for the 2019 football season.
Ms Bricknell added: “We’re working with the football club – of course – and the cricket club and the other users like the little athletics to keep them all operational while we’re doing it, albeit a little bit restricted.”
