TASMANIA'S official christening gift to the new daughter of Denmark's Crown Prince Frederick and Princess Mary went on display at Parliament House yesterday.
For just 24 hours, the designer charm bracelet created by Hobart jeweller Diane Allison was shown to the public, before being carefully packed and sent to Denmark in time for Sunday's christening ceremony.
Premier Paul Lennon said the bracelet, which featured Tasmanian apple seeds paired to form the shape of the State, was a remarkable piece that drew on the strong links between Tasmania and Denmark.
"This is a beautiful piece of jewellery that will always remind the princess of her strong Tasmanian heritage," Mr Lennon said.
