The young Tasmanians dismissed South Australia to 164, with Sam Artis taking 3-29 from six overs, Lachlan Borsboom 2-19 from seven overs and Sam O’Mahony 2-21 from 4.3 overs in the victory. Zac Worden top-scored for South Australia with 29 from 89 balls.
Earlier, Jacob Downie (57 from 93), William Collins (53 from 63) and Nicholas Davis (43 from 58) helped guide Tasmania to 219 from its 50 overs.
The win at Fehlberg Park at Norman Gray Oval was Tasmania’s fourth win of the titles. Its final match of the competition will be played on Thursday, with confirmation of both the opponent and the venue not complete on Wednesday night.
Artis, of RIverside, and Jonathan Marsden, from South Launceston, are the only Cricket North players in the squad.
